Mac,  You mentioned potentially moving this Moodle site to the original URL. (quest.thepilgrimage.net). just thought I would ask . . . when that happens we will want to get the word out that we are back (permanently) to the original URL.  right?

Hi Paul,

We'll permanently redirect quest2 to quest when that move is accomplished, so it should be essentially seemless. We'd just want to make sure any printed or digital materials link to quest from that point on.

I should have that move finished up this week.

Re: Help Improve the Pilgrimage's eLearning Experience - Registering my Blog

Mac,

I am having trouble getting my blog:  feed://stillpoint.paulhlang.com  to register within the Moodle-site.  I'm not sure but I think it relates to the RSS feed.  Would love it if we could have "Stillpoint" registered as an external blog and pull in the blog posts from the categories of "Pilgrimage," and "Contemplation."

Mac,

I have looked to try to do this myself . . . but I don't see how to do it.  Can we get the courses which show in the initial "Home" page when a user logs in to be arranged in calenderical order?   Hmmmm....now that I think about this . . . how is that going to work?  Can we show the ones for any CURRENT year in calendarical order and then show the ones in a PREVIOUS year in an archive box (or link)?  We could do the same for courses listed in the year AFTER the current year.

I guess the point of all this rambling is getting the half-a-dozen most relevant courses listed on the initial home-page in order they were offered and some mechanism for showing old and future courses without them cluttering up the initial home-page.

Would it be easiest to allow you to drag & drop to reorder/categorize the course list on the homepage?

i.e., manual ordering, and two subheadings/categories to place courses under:

1. current course offerings

2. archived courses*

*Archived courses could just be a link on the homepage, so old courses don't clutter up the homepage listing.

When I log in - the fact that I am logged in is stated on the upper right hand side, close to the top of the page.

However, when I was just in the Spiritual seasons/Liturgy of the hours page, the log in text is lower.  That makes it in the dark part of the image, which means it is really hard to read.

Hi Ann,

This is a quirk of classes with long names, but I have a fix prepared that will go live this week.

Mac

Loading files
by Ann Ulliman - Saturday, 27 January 2018, 3:44 AM

I've tried at various times today as well as two computers - and not able to get videos or audio to load.  Here is the error message I just received from trying to load mp3 file. Tried for Compassing Retreat course and for Liturgical Seasons.

Incorrect pool file content b290c45a407beffd166725bb2ec43fc8495e2907.

Tried by dragging and dropping onto audio section. Also tried by adding an section - then selecting a file. Both render the same file message stated above.

Tried again today, Saturday. Didn't work. This time I was loading from my hard drive. Other times I have tried to load from One Drive and from an external hard drive. Must be something else....

Hi Ann,

Working on this, thanks. I'll update here and on the Pilgrimage Outlook group when the issue is resolved.
